Royal Experts Claim Stripping Andrew of His Titles Before the Epstein Files Was Strategic

Royal experts have pointed out that Andrew's loss of titles was a well-planned move by the monarchy, who already knew his controversies are far from over.

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor is once again facing intense media scrutiny as the US Department of Justice continues to release new documents linked to Jeffrey Epstein. With revelations again clouding his public standing, the former Duke is said to be spending his last Christmas at Royal Lodge in isolation. After being stripped of his remaining titles and honors, the wider royal family has completely separated itself from the disgraced royal. While this step was something many considered long overdue, as per experts, it was a strategic move taken by the monarchy, which had already anticipated damaging material related to the former Duke coming to light.

Speaking on The Sun’s Royal Exclusive Show, royal commentators Alisa Anderson and Simon Vigar pointed out that the monarchy acted with caution when it came to the disgraced royal and his many scandals. Talking about Mountbatten-Windsor’s loss of titles, Anderson admitted that it was all planned, saying, “I think it’s planned for the worst, hope for the best.” She admitted that even experienced royal watchers would not have expected the fallout. “Certainly I couldn’t have foreseen the extent of damage that the Epstein files have actually done to Andrew…and the Royal Family, and no, I don’t think they did realise how bad it was going to be.”

Fellow expert Vigar had the same sentiment and noted that even senior royals likely assumed the story would not end with just one photograph featuring Mountbatten-Windsor and Virginia Giuffre. “They suspected it and the chances of it only being that one photo of Virginia Giuffre and Andrew taken in London were minute,” he suggested. According to him, the possibility of new images and documents emerging was always there, adding, “That’s why the King and William acted…effectively banish Andrew from from the family firm.” But along with damage control, Vigar suggested that the royals should definitely brace themselves for more such revelations making their way to the public.

The US Department of Justice released thousands of images, documents and emails that again link Mountbatten-Windsor with Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell. The image of the disgraced royal at a black-tie event reclining on the laps of five women has already shaken up the internet, with Vigar now suggesting, “More and more will come out. I mean there’s obviously lots and lots of documents and photos and videos to come out.” He also added that the information is being “drip-fed out of Washington DC,” keeping the issue alive. The latest release has also brought forth images in which Epstein and Maxwell can be seen at royal locations such as Ascot and Balmoral.

Vigar suggested that images of the two being inside Buckingham Palace also exist, noting, “They were certainly in the throne room.” While the disgraced royal has consistently denied any wrongdoing, the newly released documents paint a different picture. It also suggests that despite his past denials, he was indeed in contact with Epstein. As the public braces for more such bombshell revelations, the former Duke is also allegedly ‘stressed’ about the possibility of appearing in more images.
