Royal Expert Reveals Why There's 'No Turning Back' For Prince William and Harry: 'There's a Fear...'

Prince William and Prince Harry were once inseparable, having had only each other. However, things have changed with the two brothers now living thousands of miles apart. Amid their ongoing rift, royal experts have claimed there is 'no turning back’ for them. An undisclosed source also told Us Weekly that the brothers have ‘no relationship’ left, hinting that William may never talk to his younger brother again.

The Prince of Wales is allegedly ‘appalled’ by Harry’s BBC interview, in which he addressed his father, King Charles’s cancer battle, dubbing it the reason for wishing a reconciliation with his family. The source added, “There is no turning back for William. The door is firmly shut,” while another claimed, “Just as Kate has gotten back into action, [Harry and Meghan] pull another stunt." Royal historian Marlene Koenig also opined, “Bridges have been burned on both sides.” Experts have asserted that the rift between the two princes is tainting the royal family’s public image and Charles' legacy as King.

According to Koenig, one fear is holding William back from reuniting with his brother. She said, “For William, there’s a fear that Harry would go to the press and talk about what was said between them if he speaks to him.” Royal commentator Richard Fitzsimmons added, “The royals don’t trust the Sussexes and their relationship with the media.” Both Harry and Meghan Markle broke royal protocol when they opted to talk about private family matters in their explosive interview with Oprah Winfrey. The couple did not stop there, leveling further allegations against the royal family in their Netflix docuseries and Harry’s memoir, Spare.

Fitzsimmons further shared how William is infuriated with the Sussexes using their royal connections to get back at their own family. He said, “William cannot forgive Harry for having betrayed the royal family in destructive interviews and a memoir while at the same time ruthlessly monetizing their royal connections in the U.S.” An insider also revealed that the future King feels ‘betrayed’ and can not understand why “Harry doesn’t stay quiet.” Not only William, but his wife and the future Queen, Kate Middleton, is also upset with her brother-in-law, with whom she once shared a close bond. The source said, “The reframing of events upset her, and making up a narrative that Kate is mean was devastating.” They added, “She can’t retaliate, and Meghan knows that.”

Koenig, alluding to Middleton’s cancer battle, claimed the Prince and Princess of Wales don't have time to worry about the Sussexes. She said, “William and Kate have had to deal with her cancer and not worry about what Harry is saying. They’re doing what they do as a family and as the future king and future queen consort and live their lives.” The two brothers have allegedly not spoken to one another in two years. Despite Harry’s plea to reconcile, the royal family has yet to extend an olive branch.
