'I Will' Take Care of Princess Kate: Prince William Vows to Look After Sick Wife as He 'Shrugs Off' Prince Harry 'Drug Use' Claim

William, Prince of Wales, promises a royal fan that he 'will' look after a sick Princess Kate while shrugging off Prince Harry drug use question.

Prince William is back on the royal rota with two visits to West London and Surrey's Surplus to Supper food redistribution center on Thursday, April 18. The Prince of Wales helped load deliveries and cooked in the charity's kitchen where he engaged in conversation with volunteer Rachel Candappa, who gave the future king two get-well cards for King Charles III and Kate, Princess of Wales.

The monarch-in-waiting was said to have looked visibly moved upon receiving the cards and told Candappa: "Thank you. You are very kind." The volunteer then asked the heir to the throne to look after his future queen, to which he placed his hand on her shoulder and shared: "I will."

Candappa, who was admittedly starstruck at meeting her future king later told an outlet: "I was at home at 8:30 last night and I thought I had to do something. This is a chance to give a card directly to the palace officials. I didn't think I'd be able to give the cards to William."

She continued: "I said 'can I shake your hand.' I loved it. He was very down to earth. I'm never washing my hand again. He pointed at the food and said, 'That's spaghetti hoops,' and I asked, 'How do you know about spaghetti hoops?' He said, 'I've got children.'"

The Prince and Princess of Wales both donated a bag of food from their Adelaide Cottage kitchen, which included potatoes, pasta, canned soups, and more, that will reportedly be delivered to the Hamptom Hub food bank via Surplus to Supper.

The next monarch also helped load delivers into the charity's vans and even accompanied drivers to a drop-off at Hanworth Centre Hub in Feltham, West London.

The Prince of Wales' first royal engagement in nearly a month came amid reports suggesting Prince Harry was ready to cut ties with Britain permanently, which has some wondering if his admission of past drug use could foil his plans. His Royal Highness was reported to have "shrugged off" a question about his estranged younger brother, and if the California Duke lied on his American visa application.

The Prince and Princess of Wales are obviously the future of the British monarchy as the heir and his consort, but the pair are also dedicated to helping a cancer-stricken King Charles III. This is despite the future queen also battling the same disease, but recent reports suggest she is in "good spirits" during her treatments.

"William and hopefully Catherine will undoubtedly stand in for King Charles if he is unable to attend CHOGM (Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting) in Samoa in October, and a tour of the Antipodes would normally follow. We Will see," veteran royal and entertainment expert Richard Fitzwilliams exclusively told The Royal Observer.
