Despite his successful reunion with King Charles in September, Prince Harry is far from fully returning to the royal fold. The fallout from his 2020 exit and a series of bombshell interviews has reportedly left the royal family with trust issues. Yet the Duke of Sussex appears reluctant to sever ties with his former life, as a source claims he hopes to use Meghan Markle's TV career as a possible way back. According to them, Harry allegedly believes that his occasional appearances on Markle's Netflix cooking show could help refresh his royal image.

The Duke of Sussex has made brief cameos on Markle's Netflix series, With Love, Meghan, most recently appearing in its holiday special season. Commenting on the same, an insider told the Daily Express, "Harry supports Meghan in that Netflix is the perfect angle to return to the royal fold." They stressed that despite the couple's past criticisms in the Harry & Meghan docuseries, the Duke allegedly hopes his family will recognize how much they have moved on since then. Explaining how the Sussexes' Netflix platform could benefit the monarchy, the source added, "The royal family is a business at the end of the day; it desperately needs a positive injection before the King gets too old, or sicker."

In a similar vein, royal expert Jack Royston has also suggested that Harry and Markle were plotting their return to the UK through their repeated security assessments. When asked if the Duke was being 'stubborn' by not letting his security case go, Royston said on The Sun's Royal Exclusive show, "So if he's now being assessed by the Risk Assessment/Bodyguard (R&B) again, does that suggest that he might be planning some kind of a move back to Britain or more time in Britain or some kind of return to some form of royal duty?" Likewise, royal expert Bronte Coy said, "It comes at such an interesting time, where we've been watching so closely Harry's moves towards reconciliation with his father, and the fact that they met up in September when he was over here."

Although reports indicate that Harry is keen to reunite with his family across the pond, Markle has always been wary of the royals' true intentions. Former royal photographer Arthur Edwards previously told The Mirror, "As far as I'm concerned, you know, she's [Markle] his wife and mother of his children, and he's [Harry] chosen a life with her in America, which is his choice."

If Harry were to win his security case, it would pave the way for their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, to reunite with Charles. For his part, the Duke has signaled his interest in returning to the UK with his children. Shortly after his reunion with Charles, when asked by The Guardian if he would like to bring his children to his homeland one day, Harry replied, "Yes, I would. This week has definitely brought that closer," contrary to his earlier position on the matter.
