The Wales family was at the 2026 Commonwealth Games this weekend, and it was all smiles. Prince William and Princess Kate, along with their three kids, Prince George, Prince Louis, and Princess Charlotte, were spotted enjoying the events in Glasgow, Scotland. However, a hilarious exchange between George and William completely stole the spotlight of the day.

The conversation began after the topic of track cycling came up. According to the Express, Kate shared that an Olympic cyclist had been trying to convince her and William to give the sport a try. During her chat with TV presenter Gethin Jones, she joked, “Be careful what you wish for, as they want to put us on a tandem bike in the velodrome.”

That prompted Jones to turn to George with a question, asking if he would like to see his parents ride a tandem bike in the velodrome. George's answer couldn't have been shorter, as he simply replied, "No." William quickly lightened the moment, teasing his eldest son, "We embarrass you enough as it is."

William's quick response turned what could have been an awkward moment into a funny one. While George handled the moment with a smile, he has occasionally appeared a little uneasy during previous public outings. In fact, experts have pointed out that the young royal can sometimes look uncomfortable under the constant spotlight that comes with being the future king.

At one such appearance, a clip showed George politely shaking a tennis star's hand while Kate chatted nearby. While many viewers saw it as a sweet interaction, Australian body language expert Dr. Louise Mahler had a different take. Speaking to Woman's Day, she said, “Meeting Arthur Frey did not appear to be his idea of an enjoyable day. His discomfort showed immediately: a lopsided mouth, a tightly clenched expression, and his gaze fixed firmly on the ground.”

George has officially entered his teenage years after celebrating his 13th birthday last month. He is also getting ready for a big milestone this fall as he is about to start boarding at Eton College, following in the footsteps of both his father and uncle, Prince Harry. With that new chapter around the corner, experts have suggested that George may soon be asking for a phone, if he hasn't already, though William and Kate have so far stuck to their no-phone rule for their children.
