The doting mother of two used her cooking skills to whip some waffles for her children and shared a video of the same on Instagram. However, what seemed like an innocent post led to a social media frenzy. Eagle-eyed fans pointed out that Markle may have used the same waffle maker that Queen Elizabeth had gifted Prince Archie.

In the video, Markle is seen stirring green batter in a bowl given the holiday. Her caption read, “About this morning…” She then proceeds to add the mixture into a waffle maker. This had royal watchers recalling Prince Harry's interview on The Late Late Show With James Corden. During the segment, Harry shared, “My grandmother asked us what Archie wanted for Christmas, and Meg said a waffle maker. She sent us a waffle maker for Archie. So breakfast now, Meg makes up a beautiful organic mix in the waffle maker.” This detail had fans convinced it was the very same one the Queen had gifted her great-grandson.

On X (formerly Twitter) a fan asked, “Is that Archie’s waffle maker, present from The Queen?” Another echoed, “Is that the waffle maker our Queen gave her” Chiming in, a person quipped, “The gift that keeps on giving…?” Meanwhile, a critic slammed, “Apparently she does not know how to make a waffle. Others were convinced Markle faked her activity with the kids, claiming that the 'waffles' seemed like readymade frozen Eggos. A netizen remarked, “But that waffle hasn't come out of that waffle iron!!!! ?? Omg did no one tell her you can't see the cross in the middle?? Has she faked this too??” Another echoed, “Where are the dividers that should have been the waffle? It wasn't hand-made. What a liar she is.” In a similar vein, a comment also read, “Nope!! One of the photos showed Lilibet sitting on Prince Harry’s lap on a boat. However, fans quickly criticized Markle for allowing her child to be on a boat without a life vest. What was intended to be a celebration of women turned sour for the former actress as seething comments flooded in.
