Meghan Markle Jokes About Renewing Her Vows After Receiving Hilarious Aussie Gift [Watch the Video]
Sean and Marley got the version of the Duchess that the MasterChef cameras never did.
Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex, kept a packed schedule during her four-day Australian tour with Prince Harry. Hospital visits, war memorials, a women's shelter, a MasterChef cameo — the itinerary left little room to breathe. But more than two weeks after Harry and the Duchess of Sussex wrapped it all up, a new video has surfaced — and it was a cheeky parting gift, and the joke it inspired, that has the internet talking.
While Markle’s MasterChef appearance grabbed the headlines, it was a far less polished kitchen that produced the trip's most genuinely warm moment. Sean Skeels and Marley Whatarau, both of whom have Down syndrome, hosted Markle during her recent trip to Australia. Watch the video here! Best friends since primary school, Sean and Marley built their following from scratch in 2021, turning a comedy cooking show called Beautiful, Tasty, Beautiful into a global phenomenon with millions of followers across multiple platforms. They are, in other words, a very big deal.
After welcoming Markle to Australia, the duo produced a can of Tooheys New — a classic that had somehow eluded the Duchess until now. Gamely, she leaned in. "That's good," she said, setting the can down with a grin. "You created a whole date night for us now." Before she could settle, a VB appeared. She obliged that one, too. "Victoria Bitter, OK," she said, taking a swig. "Also very good. This is a little bit lighter. I like them both."
The gifts that followed only added to the warmth. Sean and Marley gave her Bluey toys, Minties, a can of chicken salt, two NRL rugby jerseys for Archie and Lilibet, sunscreen, two cans of their favorite beers, and a bikini bottom. When Sean produced the bikini bottom with 'Aussie Bum' emblazoned across the back, Markle barely missed a beat. "That's going to be for my husband. I just have a feeling," she said, laughing. She continued. "For the love of my life," she added. "We might renew our vows with him wearing these."
The appearance came after the duo had posted a video titled 'Meghan's Spaghetti,' recreating her single-skillet pasta recipe from With Love, Meghan, and Markle had later sent them a thank-you note and a gift basket full of her favorite As Ever products. "We had such an amazing time meeting Meghan and making a video with her when she was visiting Australia," Sean and Marley wrote afterward. "We gave her eight special gifts that represent Australian life, and she loved them all. Thank you so much to Meghan and her team for helping to make this happen and taking time out from their very busy schedule to film with us."
