Prince Harry has previously shared that he and Meghan Markle only plan to have two children. Despite their baby quota being complete, psychologist Stefan Walters, having analyzed Markle’s recent comments on motherhood, has claimed that the Duchess might be 'feeling broody,' desperate to relive it again.

According to Walters, Markle’s repeated assertions of her motherhood journey could mean she is longing for a third child. He told OK! magazine, “Women often romanticize and enjoy that stage of pregnancy and having a newborn baby, and want to really share that with the world at large because it can be such a unique and beautiful time.” The expert added, “I think she’s probably experiencing that as well, feeling broody, going through those feelings as she makes sense of it all and shares it with the world while trying to have a voice.”

The psychologist opined that Markle’s podcast, Confessions of a Female Founder, has given her a platform to voice some of the trauma she experienced during her pregnancies. The Duchess of Sussex has opened up about her painful miscarriage in a conversation with her guest, Reshma Sujani. She also spoke about her experience with ‘postpartum pre-eclampsia’ after one of her pregnancies. According to Walfred, her recent personal disclosures could be a rewriting of some of these difficult memories. He said, “Pregnancy was a difficult, painful time for them, and at times, she seemed to be struggling…She’s perhaps feeling that she’s able to create and relive some happy memories around pregnancy and the early years of her children’s lives.”

Walfred believes that the Duchess seems to be enjoying the freedom of no longer being bound by strict royal protocols, which dictated that royal family photos should only be released during special occasions like Christmas or birthdays. Now that Markle is no longer a working royal, she can share glimpses of her family of four without any qualms. Commenting on her newfound freedom, the psychologist stressed, “I think she’s partly creating a platform for herself, because she was ridiculed publicly, and when she and Harry left the UK, there was a lot of scorn directed at them. By doing her podcast, she now has a brand, but more importantly, a voice.”

Markle's most recent motherhood confession was about her struggles with balancing a business while raising her two children. As reported by People magazine, in the final episode of her podcast, she told her guest, Sara Blakely, that people often undermine the struggles of mothers. She added, “It's something that I think people often forget…So you look at the past five, six years of my life, it’s with being pregnant or with a newborn or with a toddler, and then another one.” The episode also saw her open up about ‘clinging’ to Harry during her pregnancy with Archie, when she was required to wear high heels for royal engagements despite having gained 65 pounds at the time.
