In the viral clip, Markle awkwardly redirects a woman to stand beside her instead of allowing her to pose next to Prince Harry. This prompted a flurry of reactions online. As per the Daily Mail, Markle was attending a polo game of Harry on April 12, 2024, in support of his Sentebale charity. The match was held at the Grand Champions Polo Club in Wellington, Florida. When Harry and his team won, Markle was welcomed on stage to present the award. Things however took an awkward turn. During the trophy presentation ceremony, while celebrating the team’s victory, Markle taking note of the woman, rudely instructed her to move away from Harry. The Duchess kept her hands tightly wound around Harry's waist, refusing to let anyone stand beside her husband for the photo.

As a clip of the same went viral online, a royal watcher slammed on X, “She is so insecure. Royal fans also questioned why Markle was even invited onstage—if she was the right guest of honor for a polo match award ceremony.
