We have often heard that it's always lonely at the top, and there's nothing higher than being next in line to the throne of one of the world's leading nations. Prince William may be preparing for the day he becomes King, but according to a new report, the people he relies on most are not his own family members or palace aides, but someone we did not expect. William has always been focused on serving the monarchy, and the journey has often been a lonely one for him. However, along with his wife, Princess Kate, and their children, he also has a set group of people who are reportedly cheering for him the loudest along the way. So, who are these people?

Behind palace walls and official engagements, the Prince of Wales is said to have found something he long searched for: a close-knit, supportive family that offers a sense of normalcy away from the pressures of the monarchy. Insiders claim the Middleton family has become an essential part of William's personal life, providing him with steady support through both joyful moments and difficult times. According to Naughty But Nice columnist Rob Shuter, William shares an exceptionally close bond with the Middletons, who have earned his complete trust over the years.

"William is incredibly close to the Middletons," a royal insider told Naughty But Nice. "They've provided the stability, loyalty, and normality he has craved for years. They aren't just in-laws anymore—they're family in every sense," the insider detailed. Unlike the rigid, formal environment that often surrounds royal life, William reportedly enjoys spending time with Kate's parents, Carole and Michael Middleton, because of their relaxed approach to life. Ultimately, they offer him a comforting sense of normalcy that helps keep him grounded.

The insider further noted that time with the Middletons allows William to step away from his palace responsibilities and enjoy ordinary conversations, rather than discussing royal duties or court politics. Another source emphasized that despite their connection to the future King, the Middletons have never sought public attention. "The Middletons have never wanted the spotlight," the source told Naughty But Nice. "They've simply been there for William through every high and low, and that loyalty has earned them his enormous trust."

Several royal observers also believe the family's influence could continue to grow as William prepares for his future role as monarch. While they do not expect him to dramatically reshape the institution, some believe his approach to leadership will reflect the down-to-earth values he has experienced with Catherine's family. "When William eventually becomes King, don't expect a dramatic break with the monarchy, but don't be surprised if the Middleton influence is stronger than ever. They'll remain the people William trusts most," shared an observer to the expert.
