Meghan Markle reportedly has a keen eye for choosing her friendships, which typically come with an expiration date.

"[She's unfriended] family members, Suits costars, her best friend Jessica Mulroney whose children were page boys at the royal wedding," royal expert Charlotte Griffiths shared.

The Duchess of Sussex introduced strawberry jam as her brand, American Riviera Orchard's first product.

The term, getting "Markled," has even made it into the Urban Dictionary, which states that the expression is "to abandon someone or something after they've contributed to your life in a meaningful way."

"For somebody who is actually famous for unfriending her friends or casting aside her friends, it's amazing that she cited the word friendship in the blurb for this documentary that's sort of been leaked out," Griffiths added. "I think she's a bit strategic with her friends and once she's finished with them, she casts them aside and forgets all about them, deletes their number and blocks their number in some cases."

The Duchess of Sussex "is infamous" for ghosting people, and Sophie, the then-Countess of Wessex, is perhaps the most famous ghostee in Markle's repertoire. This became apparent after Prince Edward's wife tried to "assist" the former actress by talking to her about the expectations of royal life before the Suits star wed Prince Harry in May 2018.

Meghan Markle 'does not keep friendships long,' according to a Hollywood insider.

This insight comes amid Meghan's first launch of one of her new brand, American Riviera Orchard's, products is sent out.

As The Royal Observer previously reported, "on Monday, April 15, the Duchess of Sussex's pals Tracy Robbins and Delfina Blaquier revealed via their Instagram Stories they received a small bottle of the line's strawberry jam, causing some people on social media to write some not so nice tweets."

The wave of tweets then kicked off with "a pot of jam……hilarious….grifters on overdrive," one person declared on social media in reaction to the debut.

"Could make that for $3. And we're talking a batch. How much will the duchess of moneybags be charging?" quipped another, while a third said of Meghan, "What a grifter."

'If Meghan draws you in, don't get too close,' a Sussex family insider told an outlet.

But even reports of the ex-actress sending some "50 friends" free pots of the preserves are being questioned.

"Back to the jam thing, the other big joke that's been running all week is how does she know 50 people to send jam to?" Griffiths observed. "This is a woman that doesn't have 50 friends as far as we can tell. It's a bit like the royal wedding guest list. She invited people to that royal wedding of hers that she barely knew such as Oprah, who was actually just after an interview with her, but she barely knew Oprah [Winfrey] at that point."
