'No Power to Evict': All Talk and 'No Bite' King Charles Cannot Defy the Crown Estate's Decision on Prince Andrew's Royal Lodge Residency

King Charles III has been characterized as all talk and 'no bite' as monarch cannot overrule the Crown Estate to outright evict Prince Andrew.

King Charles III has been revealed to have "no power" to kick Prince Andrew from his home of 21 years, the Royal Lodge.

"The King wants Andrew to pay his own property maintenance and security costs now he’s no longer a working royal," royal reporter Richard Palmer shared on X. "But he has no power to evict Andrew and, as far as I’m aware, the Crown Estate hasn’t set any new deadlines. This seems untrue."

This is in direct contrast to a report from a "well-placed source" in Daily Express who allegedly told the publication the scandal-ridden Duke has until the end of this year to satisfy the Crown Estate's demands. The governing body, which does not need the reigning monarch's permission to manage select royal properties, reportedly told "Randy Andy" that some $2.6 million dollars in repairs needed to be funded before the new year to avoid the now-rumored eviction.

"Andrew has been asked to prove that he has the financial resources in place to conduct the necessary repairs to Royal Lodge," the source spilled. "If he is unable to do that by the end of the year, formal discussions will be held with the Crown Estate about how best to move forward."

The eighth in line to the throne will likely not be able to finance the renovations as King Charles III reportedly cut off his lucrative yearly allowance the late Queen Elizabeth II showered on the pampered "rotund prince." His Majesty also allegedly severed his younger brother's security detail at the compound, which is set to expire this month.

"It's the closest Andrew has come to being evicted since he was asked to step down as a working royal two years ago," the insider continued.

Palmer added that the Crown Estate is not like the "Royal Palaces Estate," which reportedly can use British taxpayer funds in terms of upkeep or needed renovations via the annual Sovereign Grant. The latter manages Frogmore Cottage, which according to the journalist, allows for much more managerial decisions if the reigning monarch wishes to provide input. The King memorably evicted Prince Harry and Meghan Markle from the eight-bedroom home in June 2023.

During the Charles and Andrew feud, which started shortly after the monarch came to the throne in September 2022, a friend of the disgraced Duke pointed out, "I have never heard him say anything negative about his brother or indeed any member of his family."

This led one commenter on X to share how the monarch had "no bite," presumably alluding to HM being "all talk" in the siege of Royal Lodge, and the Duke "does not fear" his monarch.

Despite conflicting reports, Andrew's ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, all but confirmed the long-running Charles and Andrew rift with Good Morning Britain host Martin Lewis when in June, he kept asking the ex-royal about the quarrel. "I tend not to get involved in brothers' discussions, and I think that's the safest place to be," Ferguson pointedly told the broadcaster when asked about the squabble. "Let the brothers discuss it between themselves."
