Watch: Princess of Wales meets children taking part in brain development research

May 7, 2026
The Princess of Wales visited the University of East London (UEL) on Wednesday, May 6, to meet with children taking part in pioneering brain development research. During the visit, she spent time in UEL's "magic box" room, where she observed three-year-old Mikail interacting with his mother through a screen while wearing a cap fitted with brain-recording sensors. The technology is used to track how early environments and parental responses influence a child's stress levels and brain development.
