Princess Kate witnesses how business waste is turned into learning tools for children

Princess Kate visited Remida, and a young girl presented her with a bouquet before Eloisa di Rocco, the center's Research and Training Coordinator, welcomed her inside. The pair shared a quick chat, the princess gave a warm wave to the waiting crowds, and then it was time to explore.

So what exactly is Remida? The organization describes itself as "a cultural project on sustainability, creativity and research on waste materials" that believes waste carries "an ethical message, capable of provoking reflections and offering itself as an educational resource."

Princess Kate was there to see it all firsthand, how children, teachers, and educators are encouraged to look at everyday materials "with a new perspective," engaging with them through a multisensory, hands-on approach that puts environmental awareness at its core.

Princess of Wales reaches for her favorite blazer again

Princess Kate brought her A-game on day 2 in Reggio Emilia, and she did it by going back to her wardrobe staples. The Princess stepped out in her trusty Blaze Milano grey pinstripe blazer, a double-breasted favorite she has pulled out more than once, most notably at the Royal International Air Tattoo in 2023.

She kept the rest of the look simple but spot-on — a cream pleated skirt cinched with a belt and a matching cream T-shirt underneath. Effortless, as always.

Princess of Wales learns about the 'third teacher'
