Next, Kate visited a well-being hut to meet family members at hospice and learn about the care and support provided at the centre.
On arrival, Kate was shown construction work at The Treehouse Children's Hospice. The Princess looked happy, back on the familiar grounds as she took in the plans for the project: a hydrotherapy pool, a wellbeing and therapies suite, a bigger car activity area, and a space for teenagers.
The Treehouse is also expanding its kitchen and dining facilities and building more accommodation. The work is expected to be completed in early 2028.

Princess Kate has a longstanding relationship with East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices. She became the charity’s Royal Patron in January 2012, shortly before the launch of The Treehouse.
The occasion was particularly memorable because it was where Kate delivered her first public speech as a royal.
On Thursday, October 22, Princess Kate arrived for a solo visit to The Treehouse, a specialist children's hospice in Ipswich, Suffolk, run by East Anglia's Children's Hospice. Officially opened by Kate in 2012, supports children and young people with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions, also providing support for their families.
